Revision Rhinoplasty with rib cartilage…
This woman has a history of two rhinoplasty surgeries that resulted in a deformed appearing nose. She had alar retraction that caused her nostrils to appear snarled up. Her nose was also very asymmetric with the left side being worse then the right. Her nasal cartilage was significantly collapsed and she was missing her nasal bone on the left side of her nose.

Dr. Steiger performed her revision rhinoplasty using a rib cartilage graft. Irradiated cadaveric rib cartilage was used in order to rebuild her nose since her own rib cartilage was calcified due to her age. After surgery she looks and feels significantly better. She is also able to breath better from her nose after repairing the cartilage collapse that restricted her breathing. She speaks in this video about her satisfaction from the revision rhinoplasty and how it impacted her self-esteem in a positive way.
