Revision Rhinoplasty with Rib Cartilage
Revision Rhinoplasty with rib cartilage…
This woman has a history of two rhinoplasty surgeries that resulted in a deformed appearing nose. She had alar retraction that caused her nostrils to appear snarled up. Her nose was also very asymmetric with the left side being worse then the right. Her nasal cartilage was significantly collapsed and she was missing her nasal bone on the left side of her nose.
Dr. Steiger performed her revision rhinoplasty using a rib cartilage graft. Irradiated cadaveric rib cartilage was used in order to rebuild her nose since her own rib cartilage was calcified due to her age. After surgery she looks and feels significantly better. She is also able to breath better from her nose after repairing the cartilage collapse that restricted her breathing. She speaks in this video about her satisfaction from the revision rhinoplasty and how it impacted her self-esteem in a positive way.

Hi Im here to tell you about my revision rhinoplasy and how brilliant Dr. Steiger is and what a wonderful person and surgeon he is. I had my surgery 6 weeks ago and I just cant tell you hom much it has completley changed my life. I have been suffering for the past 30 years looking almost basically deformed. I had a terrible terrible rhinoplasty when I was younger and I had been told that it could not be repaired. That is until I met Dr. Steiger. He told me that he would do everything possible to try to help me.
I have to tell you that he has far exceeded any expectations that I had. I feel like a new person. For the first time I can make eye contact with people. He completely reconctructed my nose. It was painless. The recovery was painless. I practically had no bruising. I was up and about in a matter of days. He is the most amazing, sweet, kind, adorable guy, and I am totally in love with him. I am already contemplating saving up money to have my next procedure.
I also want to say that I would highly advise anybody having a primary rhinoplasty to consult with him. Anyone that can do this as a revision can certainly do a primary rhinoplasty with their eyes closed and one hand.
So if you have any further questions feel free to contact me. I will make sure that Dr. Steiger has any forwarding information as far as my email so that you can give me any questions and i would be happy to give you any feedback and answer any questions that you might possibly have.
