Otoplasty Surgery Under Local Anesthesia
This is a video journey of a patient having otoplasty surgery under local anesthesia in our office. Dr. Steiger uses a special numbing technique where he will place 4 small shots around each of your ears. This will result in temporary total numbness of the ears. This allows a very comfortable, painless otoplasty experience.
Otoplasty surgery can be performed under local anesthesia in our procedure room. The woman in this video is seen having this procedure done in this manner. Alternatively, some patients may chose to have IV sedation in our operating room. Dr. Steiger will meet with you to help you make the best decision.
