Endoscopic Midface Lift

Endoscopic Midface Lift Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Mid-Face Lift?
A mid-facelift is a procedure performed to elevate the portion of the face from the lower eyelid down to the corner of th mouth. The midface is the earliest portion of the face to fall, beginning as early as the mid 30’s. A midface lift repositions these sagging tissues and restores a youthful facial contour. Since falling cheeks are responsible for the deepening of the smile lines (melolabial folds), a mid-face lift improves there appearance.
Can a midface lift be performed without a facelift?
Yes. Midface lifts are often performed in younger patients who do not need a lower facelift just yet. Midface lifts can also be performed together with a facelift. This is called a triplane facelift because three different planes the facial tissues are elevated.
How do I know if I need a midface lift or a facelift?
There are many factors that affect facial aging, and each person ages differently. During your consultation with Dr. Steiger, he will analyze your specific facial aging pattern and recommend the best procedure for you based upon this.
Will the incisions be visible?
Dr. Steiger performs midface lifts with endoscopic assistance so that incisions are limited. All of the incisions are hidden within the hairline and inside of the mouth where they are well camouflaged.
